Manitowoc MLC300 Crawler Crane Reaches Across River To Set Rebar Shaft Cage
The video starts with IFS digging out the temp casings for one of the 4 in-water supports for the MLC300's "dance floor"/crane deck. We proofed the pilings with a diesel hammer before the tops of the pilings were cut off. Once the dance floor was complete, we could get the rebar shaft cage ready to fly. The MLC300 picked up the shaft cage horizontally and with help from our Grove crane on the tail line, shifted it vertical. The crane operator then had to reach across the river to lower the rebar cage into the shaft.
